DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are created with hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. Dermal fillers are injected into facial tissues to improve the appearance of wrinkles, increase volume in areas of hollowness, enhance the lips, and define certain features.

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that can be injected with a needle or cannula. Fillers are precisely injected to accomplish certain aesthetic goals. Dermal fillers results are semi-permanent and last anywhere from six to twelve months. The body will naturally metabolize, break down, and eliminate the filler over time.

When you arrive at your appointment, your Glam Bar professional will cleanse the treatment area. Next, you may be offered a topical anesthetic to numb the area and control comfort levels. Then, your Glam Bar injector will administer the filler under the skin using a cannula needle. Some patients report the sensation as a pinch. Pain levels are very manageable and often dissipate quickly. Right away, you’ll notice swelling, and later some light bruising and tenderness might occur. Pain can be managed with OTC pain relievers and a cool compress.

You’ll notice results immediately following your filler injections! You will likely swell to double the size you were anticipating. However, the swelling will subside within a week, and you’ll feel confident with your dermal filler results! Touch-up injections are required to maintain the look and can be scheduled six to twelve months post-injection.
